They began by blowing out the plumbing lines, then installed the winter plugs and removed any plugs from the equipment. They backwashed the filter, removed the ladder and handrails, added shock and algaecide to the pool, and finished by installing the winter cover. This pool is winter ready!

When he removed the cover, he saw the pool was entirely green and covered in algae.  He completed opening the pool as usual and added all the necessary chemicals. The homeowner left the pool running for 24 hours to ensure it was safe to use. Matt came back weekly to maintain the pool. Winterization consists of proper sealing of the plumbing lines, clean out any leaves and debris, adding all the necessary chemicals to the water, and last but not least secured the cover. This closing was complete.
